Ayaz Ebrahim, Managing Director, is Chief Executive Officer for Singapore andSouth East Asia of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, based in Singapore. In this role,he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s asset management businessin the region, with a specific focus on driving the firm’s sales strategy across theinstitutional and intermediary channels.

In addition, he is a portfolio manager and the co-head of the Asia Pacific Regionalteam within the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific (EMAP) Equities team. Prior torelocation to Singapore, he also chaired the Asia Pacific Asset Allocation Committeeand was a member of the Global Equities Operating Committee (GEOC).
Before joining the firm in September 2015, Ayaz held a number of leadership rolesincluding CIO of Asia ex-Japan Equities and Deputy CEO for Amundi Hong Kong for5 years. Before that, he was the Asia-Pacific CIO for both HSBC Global AssetManagement and Deutsche Asset Management. He began his career with CréditAgricole Asset Management Hong Kong (now named as Amundi Hong KongLimited), initially as an investment manager and subsequently as CIO for Asia. Ayazholds a Doctorate degree in Civil Law (DCL) and a Bachelor of Science degree(Honours) in Accountancy from the University of East Anglia in the U.K.
