Co-organized by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, this roundtable provided a platform to bring together the financial industry, Fintech community and Asian regulators to discuss developments, challenges and opportunities in Fintech and ways to collaborate for the benefit of the region.

Topics included the need for a level playing field while striking the right balance to facilitate innovation, advancement of data and privacy rules and utilitisation of emerging technologies such as block-chain, big data, and others. Industry recommendations or high level principles would be highlighted for educational purposes such as KYC. Furthermore Asian regulators presented their respective country fintech stage of development and perspectives to developing a regulatory framework.
