David is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the HKEX Group. David joined in 2013 with a mandate to drive the transformation of HKEXs cyber security defenses, ensuring they can meet the demands of a leading global exchange and clearinghouse provider. David is responsible for setting Cyber security strategy, investment direction and overseeing its execution. David is the Vice Chair of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) Cyber Security working group and is a strong advocate for industry collaboration, an essential tool for critical infrastructure providers to help manage systemically important risks. David started his career with ANZ Bank (Melbourne) before joining Barclays Bank (London); moving to VISA Europe (London) before joining the HKEX Group in Hong Kong. David has 20 years experience as a security professional and holds an Masters in Information Security and Cyber warfare.
