George S K Leung is Advisor to the Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. His role mainly covers the Bank’s business and economic affairs for the Asia Pacific region in a full-time capacity. He is a member of the Bank’s senior management team and also sits in the Executive Committee for Hong Kong.

Mr Leung is a renowned business economist and an influential public policy commentator in the region. He is the Chairman of Treasury and Financial Service Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC); former Chairman of Economic Policy Committee of HKGCC; and Acting Chairman of The Hong Kong Association of Banks. He was also a member of various public bodies, including Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (Hong Kong Committee), Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council, Government Statistics Advisory Board, and PCICB, etc. Mr Leung also served as non- executive director at the Board of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Ltd. He is now a member of the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council and an honorary advisor to several public and tertiary institutions.
