Mathieu Fuhrmann leads APAC Sales at Eurex, one of the world’s premier derivatives exchanges, currently based in Tokyo, Japan. Since joining Eurex in 2017, Mathieu has played a pivotal role in driving sales and business development across the region, with
a strong focus on expanding the Exchange’s listed products and services within Asia time zones.

He works closely with both sell-side and buy-side institutions, fostering strategic relationships and delivering tailored solutions to meet evolving market needs. In addition to his core responsibilities, Mathieu champions Eurex’s ESG, Total Return Futures
(TRF), and Dividend initiatives in APAC—partnering with clients to promote adoption and educate market participants on integration strategies.

Previously, Mathieu served as Head of Eurex’s Japan Representative Office and Co-Head of Buy-Side Coverage for APAC, further deepening his regional expertise and leadership footprint.

Before joining Eurex, Mathieu spent four years at IG Group Plc in London, where he held roles as Sales Trader and Options Dealer, contributing respectively to bothexecution and market-making operations.

He holds a masters degree (MSc) in Financial Forecasting and Investment from theUniversity of Glasgow, UK, and an MBA from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo.
