Michael Frank is a senior analyst with The Economist Intelligence Unit based in Hong Kong. Recently, his sustainability research has included fintech as an enabler of sustainable development; greenhouse gas mitigation in Southeast Asia; and the impact of regulation on China’s greenhouse gas emissions in the next decade. He also leads The EIU’s technology custom research programmes in Asia, advising clients on the intersection of technology with global and regional trends such as geopolitical conflict, trade policy, and regulatory politics. He holds a Master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Chicago Policy Review, and a BA in international relations and economics from Colgate University.
