Ruenvadee obtained an L.L.B from Chulalongkorn University, and obtained her Barrister at Law from the Institute of Legal Education Thai Bar Association. She also has a L.L.M from Harvard Law School and an M.B.A. from University of California at Berkeley. 

Prior to this appointment, she had served in several key positions at the Ministry of Justice. These include Director-General of the Legal Execution Department, Director-General of the Probation Department, Deputy Director of the Office of Justice Affairs as well as Deputy Director-General of the Rights and Liberties Protection Department. She has also served as a Director at Dhanarak Asset Development Co., Ltd.
