Phua Wee Ling is the Director of the Markets Policy & Infrastructure Department. The department formulates policies on markets and infrastructures, as well as those in relation to market conduct. The department also has supervisory responsibility for markets and infrastructures including central counterparties and trade repositories. Prior to this appointment, she headed the Markets & Infrastructure Supervision Division from November 2014 to July 2018.

Wee Ling joined the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in April 2006 and has served in different roles in MAS, including in the Finance Department as an Assistant Director and in the Prudential Policy Department as a Lead Policy Analyst.

Prior to joining MAS, she worked in Citibank Singapore Limited and in the Central Provident Fund Board in various functions ranging from financial control, to strategic planning and policy reviews.

Wee Ling graduated from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with a first class honours in accountancy in 2002. She obtained her Master of Finance from the University of Cambridge, UK in 2011.
