Mr Ian Chung is the Executive Director of the Markets,
Infrastructures & Intermediaries Department at the
Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). The Department is
responsible for licensing and supervising capital market
entities such as exchanges, clearing houses, trade
repositories, and broker dealers. Ian joined MAS in 2011 and
has served in several functions, including prudential policy
formulation, economic surveillance, and banking supervision.
Ian was also an Advisor to the Executive Director for
Southeast Asia at the International Monetary Fund from
2015 to 2017.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from the
National University of Singapore, and a Master of Science in
Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
