OVERVIEW

The ASIFMA Annual Conference is a premier gathering of industry leaders, policymakers, and financial professionals examining the evolving dynamics of Asia’s capital markets.

Held under the theme “The Competition for Global Capital,” the 2027 edition will explore the factors influencing the flow of global capital and the future competitiveness of Asian markets, as geopolitical dynamics evolve, technology reshapes financial markets, and jurisdictions compete for investment and talent. Through keynotes, panels, and interactive sessions, the programme will cover the shifting geopolitical landscape, ASEAN as a gateway to Asia’s growth markets, market fragmentation, tokenisation and digital market infrastructure, AI and digital sovereignty, sustainable finance, and regional market development priorities.

The conference convenes senior policymakers, regulators, and market leaders from financial institutions, exchanges, asset managers, and corporates — with the previous edition welcoming over 400 participants and more than 50 speakers from Asia, Europe, and beyond.

Following the success of the 2026 Sydney edition, the 2027 conference will be held in Bangkok, immediately after the 2027 IOSCO APRC Meeting hosted by the Thai SEC.
