Tristan Thompson is the Managing Partner of Optiver Asia Pacific (APAC).  Based in Sydney, he has been with Optiver for twenty-one years.

Tristan began his career at Optiver in 2005 as an Options Market Maker on the ASX, specialising in single stock and index options. He was appointed Head of Options Trading in 2014, before becoming Head of Trading for APAC in 2017. In 2026, he became Managing Partner for the region.

Tristan graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Co-op Scholarship in Accounting and Finance.
