Jie graduated from Nankai University, one of the leading research-oriented universities in China, and was awarded a Doctorate Degree in International Finance. Jie has in-depth knowledge and rich working experience in the financial sector, especially capital markets and macroeconomics.  

From 1989 to 1992, Jie served as a research fellow focusing on the economy of Taiwan at Nankai University. From 1992 to  2016, he worked for 25  years in the Shenzhen  Stock  Exchange  (SZSE),  one of the top three stock exchanges worldwide in  terms of trading volume. During  that  period, Jie was in charge of the Research Planning Department, the Membership Supervision Department, the Policy and Legal Department, the Training Center for Venture Enterprises, and the SZSE Research Institute.
