Single Resolution Board (SRB)

Mr Antonio Carrascosa is a Board Member of the SRB since its inception in 2015. As Director of Resolution Planning and Decisions he is responsible for the banks under the direct remit of the SRB in 7 EU Member States and for 3 European Global Systemically Important Banks (G-SIBs). He chairs the Committee on Crisis Management on behalf of the SRB.

Before being appointed to the SRB, he worked as Director General of the Fund for Orderly Bank restructuring (Spanish national Resolution Authority) since July 2012. Mr Carrascosa is an economist with a degree in Public Administration. In 1993 he was appointed as the Deputy Director General for the Spanish Treasury and had spent five years in Japan working as Economic Counsellor in the Spanish Embassy. Other positions in the public sector included being Deputy Director General of International Financial System Issues (Ministry of Economy) (2003-2004) and Director General for Financial Intermediaries in the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission (CNMV) (2005-2007). He also worked for over three years in financial consultancy with PricewaterhouseCoopers Spain (2008-2011).
