Ashwin Chak currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer covering Markets and Investment Banking activity in Mizuho Securities Asia. In addition to his front to back role of driving initiatives across the platform, Ashwin also has responsibility for Business Development as well as managing Operations and Technology.

Prior to joining Mizuho, Ashwin worked at HSBC in a variety of leadership roles globally including: COO Fixed Income Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong ; Head of Regulatory Analysis and Design for Fixed Income globally based in London; and Regional Head of Global Banking and Markets Audit, Americas based in New York.

Ashwin is a Chartered Accountant and also holds a Masters in Commerce and a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking Management from the University of Madras, India.
