Brandon leads AWS’ regulatory assurance efforts for regulated sectors across the Asia Pacific region.

He focuses on ensuring proper compliance frameworks and controls are in place so that regulated customers can successfully migrate critical workloads onto the cloud and demonstrate compliance to relevant regulations. He engages with regulatory agencies on regulations that relate to resilience, data protection, outsourcing and technology risk.

Prior to joining AWS, he was the APAC Privacy Officer for Standard Chartered Bank, ensuring that privacy risks were addressed in compliance with regulatory requirements across the Bank’s key markets in Asia Pacific. He also architected and implemented the Global Privacy Programme in the region. He started his career in PwC as a Technology Risk manager, leading security consultants on risk advisory and assurance engagements with global financial institutions.
