Mr Ong Chong Tee is the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Financial Supervision at the MAS. This includes the regulation and supervision of banking, insurance and capital markets entities licensed in Singapore. Under the new Payment Services Act, relevant payment services entities will also come within MAS’ supervisory ambit. The Financial Supervision functions include the oversight of financial institutions’ technology and money laundering risks.
