Li CUI is the Chief Economist, MD, and Head of Macro Research at China Construction Bank International, based in Hong Kong.  She was formerly a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where she led the bank’s macroeconomic research on China. Prior to that, she was the Chief China Economist at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Earlier in her career, she was a Division Head at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund based in Washington DC. Li has written many articles on the Chinese and the International economy and participates frequently in economic and policy discussions.  She holds a B.A. from Renmin University of China, and M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University.
