Ms. Yu is an expert in financial market regulations and M&A transactions in China. With 20 years’ experience focusing on the financial sector, Ms. Yu has served as the lead counsel on many deals involving “firsts” in the Chinese financial market. Ms. Yu was awarded “Next Generation Partners” in corporate/M&A law in Asia-Pacific by the Legal 500, and the “Best Lawyers Recommended by GC” in Chinese financial sector.

Ms. Yu has advised on the local incorporation of the first batch of foreign funded banks in China, the first foreign investment in China’s “big four” financial asset management company, the first restructuring of a listed distressed trust company in China, the first CEPA securities JV, the first WFOE securities firm, the first WFOE futures company, and Stock Connect. She advises leading international financial institutions (e.g. Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Citi, UBS, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Standard Chartered, DBS, and HKEX) and domestic financial groups (e.g. Ant Financial).
