Joyce Lai is regional head of Legal and Compliance-Treasury & Markets (including DBS Vickers), based in Singapore.  Prior to joining DBS, Ms. Lai returned from London to join the Financial Markets, Legal team at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore.  She trained and practiced at Slaughter and May in London and in Hong Kong, and then joined Clifford Chance LLP in London. She was also in-house counsel (derivatives/structured products) at BlueCrest Capital Management and at MUFG Securities in London.  She is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales (October 1998), and in Hong Kong (April 2001).
