Michael Duignan has had a variety of roles within the regulatory spectrum.  He advised Ministers on policy relating to exchanges and securities whilst at HM Treasury.  At the UK FSA he was responsible for Listing Rules policy and negotiated the Prospectus Directive in European Council on behalf of the UK, whilst also working on the Market Abuse and Transparency Directives. After a stint as the Head of Market Supervision at the Irish Stock Exchange he joined the Malta FSA for two years. More recently he moved to Hong Kong SFC in 2014 as a Senior Director in the Corporate Finance Division, responsible for IPO prospectus vetting and corporate disclosure teams.  He is now head of the Market Misconduct Team responsible for identifying and investigating insider dealing and market manipulation cases.
