Patricia Mongkhonvanit

Mrs. Patricia Mongkhonvanit is the Director-General of the Public Debt Management Office, the Thai Ministry of Finance. She is responsible for overseeing the public debt management strategy and administration to raise funds for government budgetary and development projects and play an important role in developing a domestic bond market. Under her strong support, PDMO adopted the blockchain technology to use in the process of selling government savings bonds and recently using the hybrid blockchain to launch the first e-wallet savings bond that was reduced the face value from 1,000 Baht to 1 Baht to give all Thais better access to savings.

Mrs. Mongkhonvanit holds a B.A. in Political Science from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, an M.A. in Economics Development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, U.S.A., and an LL.M. in Tax from the London School of Economics and Political Science, U.K.
