Mr Philippe Allard is the Head of the Policy Coordination Unit of the European Banking Authority (EBA), which he joined in 2012. Before that he spent two years as Financial Supervision Expert at the European Systemic Risk Board Secretariat (ESRB) in Frankfurt am Main and eight years at the Banque de France where he held several positions including Head of the Risk Analysis Unit at the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR).

Mr Allard graduated in Economics and Finance from the Institute of Political Science in Paris (Sciences Po) and completed a postgraduate Certificate in Philosophy of Law at the Paris II University.
