Sharon is the Executive Director of Markets Enforcement.  In this role she is responsible for ASIC Markets Enforcement team, which is a national team that is responsible for all markets related investigations and enforcement conducted by ASIC. As Executive Director, Sharon has primary responsibility for ASIC’s day-to-day operations and decision-making for all market misconduct within ASIC jurisdiction.

In this role, Sharon is responsible for a number ASIC’s significant litigation. Sharon has significant regulatory experience working in financial markets, including in the Asian market. Prior to joining ASIC, Sharon was Legal Counsel at the Australian Securities Exchange. She has also held senior positions at the Malaysian Bourse.  Prior to her in-house corporate role, Sharon has also had several years of experience in private practice as a barrister.
