Simon Hawkins is a counsel in the Hong Kong office of Latham and Watkins. Mr. Hawkins’ practice focuses on financial regulation, including licensing matters, prime brokerage arrangements, securities dealing, financial market regulations, intermediary and distribution arrangements and product development and structuring. In addition to financial regulation, he has broad expertise in FinTech, which extends across payments and stored-value, cryptocurrencies and digital assets, token offerings, and digitization projects.

Mr. Hawkins also advises on the regulatory aspects of capital markets and M&A deals involving financial institutions, and he has particular expertise in structuring and negotiating bancassurance arrangements.
