Dr. Vachira Arromdee has been working at the Bank of Thailand for more than 20 years. Currently, she serves as Assistant Governor, Financial Markets Operations Group, responsible for reserve management, foreign exchange administration and policy, implementation of foreign exchange policy framework, conduct of open market operations (OMOs) as well as financial market development.

Dr. Vachira Arromdee is a CFA Charterholder. She received a Bachelor of Accountancy from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport, USA. She also earned a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Georgia, USA.
