Waratchya’s current roles include policy making and overseeing intermediaries and asset management businesses in securities market as well as registration of provident fund and supervision of its management.

Her extensive experience with the SEC over the past 30 years includes securities offering, mergers and acquisition, corporate governance, supervision of intermediaries, enforcement, investor education and internal management.  Prior to joining the SEC, she worked at the Bank of Thailand and the Bangkok branch of Chase Manhattan bank.

Waratchya received her MBA from Kellogg School, Northwestern University, USA, and Bachelor of Accounting (first class honour) from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
