William heads the firm’s Financial Services Regulatory practice in Asia and has over a decade of experience in advising on financial services regulatory matters, both in an advisory and a contentious context.
William has broad experience of advising on a range of regulatory topics, which include firms’ governance structures, senior management accountability, anti-money laundering and terrorist financing compliance, systems and controls, market misconduct, fintech, cyber-security and conduct of business matters.
William also regularly advises on the extraterritorial impact of third country regulation, such as MiFID II and the EU Benchmarks Regulation, on financial services firms operating in Asia. His clients comprise investment banks, wholesale and retail banks and other financial institutions, including private wealth managers, hedge funds, investment managers and private equity firms.
