Duncan Edward is Head of APAC Financing Solutions and Product
Strategy at State Street. Based in Hong Kong, he leads the region’s
Financing Solutions business and shapes the strategy, development, and
adoption of financing products and platform capabilities. He works with
clients and market participants to advance financing and liquidity
solutions that support evolving investment and trading needs.
Duncan joined State Street in 2026 from Société Générale, where he led
Equity Prime Brokerage in Asia, including the development of HKEX’s first
dual-cleared equity prime brokerage model. Previously, he spent more
than 20 years at HSBC in senior leadership roles across London, Jersey,
and Hong Kong.
He brings more than 25 years of experience across securities financing,
prime brokerage, product strategy, and market infrastructure, with a track
record in business growth, client-focused innovation, and large-scale
transformation.
Duncan is a Chartered Management Accountant and holds a BSc (Hons)
in Accounting and Law.
