Cliff Sheng is a partner and one of the core leadership of McKinsey Asia FIG practice. Based in Hong Kong, he focuses in serving Financial Institutions across Greater China. During the past 15 years as a consultant, Cliff has served leading financial institutions including banking, insurance, securities, wealth/asset management and fintech platforms, across the topics of corporate strategy, organization, transformation programs and risk management.

Cliff is known as an expert in the space of China capital market and fintech, through >50 related projects in the past few years. He also established thought leadership in the above areas as the lead author of >10 publications with industry-wide impact.

Before joining McKinsey, Cliff used to be the managing partner and head of financial services of Oliver Wyman in China. He also worked as vice president of HSBC in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Cliff graduated from Fudan University. He is a native mandarin speaker and is fluent in English and Cantonese.
