Kris Daswani is Global Head, Legal for Transaction Banking at Standard Chartered and a member of the Clients & Products Legal Management Team. She is responsible for the legal affairs for Transaction Banking which covers Cash, DDP (Digital, Data and Platforms), Trade, Securities Services. Kris’s legal career spans over 25 years across Asia Pacific where she first began her career with then, Masons and them, Simmons & Simmons as a Solicitor before going in-house. First, as a Legal and Compliance officer in a broker-dealer, followed by almost 20 years at Citi in various Asia Pacific regional head and country head legal roles in Financial Markets and Global Transaction Services. She also has spent 2 years as the Regional Head of Asia Pacific Legal at JP Morgan’s Office of the Secretary.

Kris is qualified solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales and sits on Standard Chartered’s Group Legal Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
