May is a Head of Analytics of S&P Global Ratings. Based in Beijing. May is primarily responsible for ratings surveillance and analysis of industrial companies in the mining & metals and oil & gas sectors in Asia-Pacific. May is also a member of the global Commodities team.

May has been with of S&P Global Ratings since 2002, specializing in the analysis of corporations across Australia and New Zealand, including experience analyzing companies in the utilities and infrastructure sectors. She also has experience analysing companies based in China and the United States.

Before joining of S&P Global Ratings in 2002, May worked for a commercial bank in China. May holds a Master of Commerce (major in Finance) degree from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Economics degree from Zhongshan University in China. May is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
