Raman Aylur Subramanian is a Managing Director at MSCI, where he leads Global Market Classification and Taxonomies within Research & Development. His work focuses on index policy, market classification, and governance.

In addition, Raman is member of MSCI’s Index Policy Committee (IPC), the governance body overseeing all MSCI index methodologies and policies. With a tenure at MSCI dating back to 1999, Raman has developed deep expertise in index methodologies and asset allocation, establishing himself as a thought leader in the field.

Raman holds a Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Additionally, he is a CFA charterholder®.
