Sonia Lim is a Counsel at Linklaters, Singapore. Ms. Lim comes with more than 20 years’ of experience in providing legal and regulatory advice to the financial markets, and has extensive experience in transactional coverage as well as leading and advising on markets regulatory reform initiatives across various regulatory frameworks. She is currently advising a number of institutions on IBOR transition (including the ISDA Fallbacks Protocol) and has extensive experience in advising on other regulatory-related matters including IM/VM requirements, Dodd Frank, EMIR, MIFIDII, bail-in/contractual stays and G-20 market reform across different regulatory regimes in APAC.

Prior to joining Linklaters, Ms. Lim was a Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase Bank (where she held various roles including as Head of APAC Regulatory Legal and APAC Legal Co-Head of the Global Markets business). She was also with Goldman Sachs and Allen & Overy and has worked in major financial centres across the globe, including in New York, London and Hong Kong. She is qualified to practice in Singapore and England & Wales.
