Avril has more than 20 years’ experience in IT. She has been Director of Client Technology at Refinitiv, previously known as Thomson Reuters, in Hong Kong. In that role, she led a team of client-facing technical professionals in North Asia to drive revenue growth and client retention, handled strategic senior client engagement and worked with the financial services ecosystem to seek new collaboration opportunities. Prior to this, she held various management and leadership positions in financial technology and network engineering.

Avril is Vice Chair of the Innovation and Technology Committee for the British Chamber of Commerce, Co-Chair for the Big Data Committee for the FinTech Association of Hong Kong and an active member of the FIX Trading Community.
